About Hold Me Closer Dance and Wedding Productions
I’m Aubrey C. Ewing, Au.D., owner of Hold Me Closer Dance and Wedding Productions. I’ve been dancing my whole life, from solo and group dances as a child to team dances in high school and partner dancing in college, teaching all along the way. Dancing has always brought me such joy, and I love helping others experience that same joy.
When it came down to my own wedding, I knew it wouldn’t sit right with me if our first dance as a couple consisted only of swaying for two minutes. Don’t get me wrong, I’m totally okay with other people doing that if that is what they prefer. It just wasn’t for me. However, my fiancé had never danced before and was very concerned about what to do with a hundred people watching him. We decided he would likely feel much more comfortable and relaxed if he knew exactly what he was supposed to do.
Teaching him our first dance was an amazing experience that brought us closer as a couple. We still do our dance just for fun even though our wedding has long since passed. Our first dance went so well that our friends asked me to choreograph their first dance too. As I watched them smile and laugh while dancing together at their wedding, I knew I wanted to bring that joy to others!

I teach from my home studio in Puyallup, WA, but travel is considered on a case-by-case basis. I serve clients all over Puget Sound, and even have some virtual options as well.
